It has been designed for performing, in complete safety, the aluminothermic welding of the rail. Its robust structure is able to withstand the high stress of the traction force. The gasoline Honda engine controls a hydraulic power unit with a gear pump of low pressure for a rapid approach of the rail and a radial piston pump, which adjusts automatically the pulling force, a valve adjuster, 2 hydraulic cylinders with security block valves and 4 special steel clamps for locking the rail with anchor pins and shooting bars.
